Gail Landis is a co-founder of Evercore Asset Management and head of the firm's marketing and client service efforts. Prior to forming EAM in 2005 with three long time former Sanford Bernstein colleagues, Ms. Landis was a managing director and head of distribution for the Americas at Credit Suisse Asset Management. Before joining CSAM, Ms. Landis spent 21 years at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., Inc. where most recently she was a managing director leading the firm's global consultant development activities. Ms. Landis initially joined Bernstein in 1981 as a sell-side equity analyst covering electrical equipment. She subsequently had a number of buy-side investment roles, including as a portfolio manager for small-cap and large-cap portfolios.
Ms. Landis earned a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Boston University and an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business. She is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Pro Mujer, a nonprofit microfinance and women's development organization, and a member of the investment committee for St. Mark's School.
