Jan Blaustein Scholes

Jan Blaustein Scholes has been a partner and General Counsel of Babcock & Brown since 1987, where she has focused on the legal issues facing the company. Before 1987, she was a partner at the law firm of Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, where she specialized in international taxation. She received her law degree from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) where she was a member and editor of the law review. She also was a James Angell Scholar and a Phi Beta graduate of the University of Michigan in Chinese language and literature. She has served on a number of for profit and nonprofit boards of companies and is a trustee of the Tang family trusts.
