Jennifer L. Ancker Whelen is Managing Director of Graham Capital Management, LP ("GCM"), a $13 Billion global macro-oriented alternative investment firm founded by Kenneth G. Tropin in 1994. Prior to joining GCM in April 2007, Mrs. Ancker Whelen was a Principal and Director of Marketing & Investor Relations at Stadia Capital, LLC, a long/short equity hedge fund. From 1996 to 2003, Mrs. Ancker Whelen was with Atalanta/Sosnoff Capital Corporation where she joined as a Quantitative Research Analyst and transitioned to a fundamental Research Analyst before becoming the Director of Marketing - Alternative Investments. From 1995 to 1996, she was a Research Analyst in the Economic & Resources Consulting Group's Oil & Gas Division at ICF Kaiser International. Mrs. Ancker Whelen graduated cum laude from Colby College in 1995 with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Sociology. Mrs. Ancker Whelen is a Member and Sustaining Angel of 100 Women in Hedge Funds. She also co-founded the Hedge Funds Care (now Help For Children) Committee of Hope in New York, which supports Hedge Funds Care's global mission to prevent and treat child abuse. Mrs. Ancker Whelen was a recipient of Institutional Investor's "20 Rising Stars of Hedge Funds" award in 2008. Mrs. Ancker Whelen previously served on the boards of Hedge Funds Care, The Connecticut Hedge Fund Association, and The Ox Ridge Hunt Club. Mrs. Ancker Whelen lives in New Canaan, CT with her husband, 2 energetic sons, and 2 exceptionally friendly golden retrievers.
