Joanna began her career in the financial world trading non-ferrous and precious metals in the 1980s in London and New York. She returned to London as an equity broker with Morgan Grenfell and Credit Lyonnais, set up her own financial PR company for US mining companies wishing to develop their shareholder base in Europe just as Saddam Hussein occupied Kuwait, whereupon she moved to France.

In Paris she joined FP Consult, an Emerging Markets specialist boutique, trading mostly debt instruments, founded by Xavier Lepine and Gilles Rouchie, where she was Head of Marketing and Sales. When they were sold to Generale de Banque, which then merged with the Fortis group, as head of Marketing Support and Client Services, she built the group's centralised marketing and client support service. She was also a member of the Institutional Management Committee.

In 2001 she returned to London and joined GAM, recently acquired by UBS, in the world of active equity management, hedge funds and fund of funds, where she was responsible for European institutional client management and development.

Since 2009 she has divided her time between several businesses close to her heart. Profit and Non Profit Finance (P&NP Finance) in Paris, which she joined in 2010, is a financial and extra-financial advisory firm to family offices and the French Non Profit world, where she is also a member of the Strategic Committee. She also worked for FX Concepts, a well-known systematic currency manager, founded over 30 years ago by John Taylor, on the European institutional business development side, from London between 2011 and 2013. And Since 2013 she has advised niche independent hedge fund managers in London on their strategic marketing and client development, notably TMS Arktos, and Clerkenwell Capital.

Joanna has been a member of 100W since 2008, and was one of the founders of the Paris Chapter. She currently Chairs the Paris Committee, and represents Paris on the European Education Board. She is a graduate of Kings College London, and of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, of which she is also a member.
