Marjorie G. Kaufman

Marjorie G. Kaufman has over 25 years experience in the hedge fund, asset management and investment banking industries. Currently she is a Managing Director with Golden Seeds, an angel investor network supporting early stage women-owned companies. Previously she was Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations and Marketing at Kingdon Capital Management where she raised over $5 billion in assets for the firm's global equity and credit strategies. As a Senior Vice President at J. & W. Seligman, she launched Seligman's first hedge fund. Before joining Seligman she directed marketing and client service at Towneley Capital Management and Jacobs Levy Equity Management. Marjorie began her career in investment banking with Bankers Trust and Prudential Securities structuring transactions involving ESOPs and advising on a variety of M&A deals and closed-end fund offerings.
Marjorie holds a BA magna cum laude in Economics and Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Chicago. She was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1996.
Marjorie is a board member of the Young Women's Leadership Network and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA). She is also a member of the UJA Wall Street Strategic Council and a former director for High Water Women. Marjorie lives in Mamaroneck, NY with her husband Dr. David Kaufman and their two sons.
