Marjorie Kaufman has over 25 years experience in the hedge fund, asset management and investment banking industries. Currently she is a Managing Director and Head of Marketing and Client Service with Guggenheim Global Trading, a $600mm equity focused multi-strat based in Purchase, NY. Previously Marjorie worked with Golden Seeds, an angel investor network supporting early stage women-owned companies. From 2003 through 2010 Marjorie was Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations and Marketing at Kingdon Capital Management where she raised over $5 billion in assets for the firm's global equity and credit strategies. As a Senior Vice President at J. & W. Seligman, she launched Seligman's first hedge fund. Before joining Seligman she directed marketing and client service at Towneley Capital Management and Jacobs Levy Equity Management. Marjorie began her career in investment banking with Bankers Trust and Prudential Securities structuring transactions involving ESOPs and advising on a variety of M&A deals and closed-end fund offerings.
Marjorie holds a BA magna cum laude in Economics and Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago. She was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1996 and in 2010 was named one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds by the Hedge Fund Journal.
Marjorie chairs the recently created Hilltop Cares Foundation and is a board member of the Young Women's Leadership Network and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA). She is also a member of the UJA Wall Street Strategic Council and a former director for High Water Women. Marjorie lives in Mamaroneck, NY with her husband Dr. David Kaufman and their two sons.
