Board of Directors

In the US, 100 Women in Hedge Funds Association, Inc. and 100 Women in Hedge Funds Foundation are managed by a group of volunteer members who are professional women in the industry. The Board of Directors meets regularly to guide member and associate programs, as well as to develop focus for the organization's growth. The Board of Directors also oversees the activities of the committees that manage the organization's affairs. These efforts are coordinated by an Executive Director.

In the UK, 100 Women in Hedge Funds Ltd. is similarly managed by a group of volunteer members who are predominantly located in London.

Biographies

Suzanne Brenner

Suzanne Brenner is the Chief Investment Officer of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she oversees the management of the Museum's $2.9 billion investment portfolio, including asset allocation, investment manager selection, and risk management. Suzanne joined the Museum in 1999. Prior to working at the Museum, Suzanne was the Director of Investments and Assistant Treasurer of The Rockefeller Foundation. She began her career at Ernst & Young, where she worked for eleven years concurrently managing several domestic and multinational audit client engagements. Suzanne has a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of music degree from City University of New York at Queens College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a certified public accountant and currently serves on the board of The Investment Fund for Foundations.

Stephanie Breslow

Stephanie Breslow is a Partner in the Investment Management Practice Group at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Her practice concentrates on investment management, partnerships and securities, focusing on hedge funds and private equity funds, as well as broker-dealer and investment management regulatory advice. Stephanie is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a graduate of Harvard University. She is listed in Chambers Global: The World's Leading Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, America's Leading Lawyers and Who's Who Legal: The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers. She is on the Board of Trustees of the Joyce Theatre.

Mimi Drake, Director

Mimi Drake is the Chief Operating Officer of Defiance Asset Management, LP. She is responsible for the strategic planning, financial management, marketing, client service, legal, and human resources aspects of the firm. Prior to joining Defiance, Mimi was Chief Operating Officer of Schlarbaum Capital Management. Mimi was previously a Vice President at InvestorForce where she managed the Altvest database business. She also spent five years at Miller Anderson & Sherrerd/ Morgan Stanley Institutional Asset Management, where she worked on both the marketing/client service and portfolio management sides of the business, specializing in international equities.

Mimi received her MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995 and her BA in Economics from Trinity College in 1990. She attended Harvard University's Radcliffe Publishing Course in 1990 and spent three years in magazine publishing prior to Wharton. Mimi is the Co-Chair of the Annual Fund at The Shipley School.

Kristin M. Fox, Director

Kristin M. Fox is the Founder and Principle of FoxInspires LLC, a firm specializing in providing unbiased investor education. FoxInspires provides access to intelligence and information, which helps investors and managers understand each other better and assists them in making wise choices based on that knowledge. FoxInspires' clients include hedge funds, ultra-high-net-worth investors, institutional investors and wealth management advisers. FoxInspires was formed in August of 2008.

Previously Kristin was Vice President of News & Research, as well as Executive Editor for HedgeWorld. Kristin was responsible for building the news and research at HedgeWorld, which was sold to Reuters in 2005. Her responsibilities included all aspects of the daily news, and any publications and other information products affiliated with HedgeWorld.

Prior to joining HedgeWorld, Kristin was an editor for Crain's Pensions & Investments, where her duties included editing and producing P&I Daily. Before her tenure at Crain's, Kristin was President of Hedge Fund Research, Inc., Chicago, Ill.

Kristin was a journalist for more than 20 years, and for part of that time, she was an economics columnist for Associated Press. She has also written for Tax Avoidance Digest, the Financial Times, Architecture Magazine and many other publications. She is also a board member and oversees the Chicago activities of 100 Women in Hedge Funds. Kristin holds a B.A. from North Park College in English Literature and Philosophy.

Dana B. Hall, CFA, Co-Founder

Dana Hall is a senior vice president in the D. E. Shaw group's investor relations unit. Prior to joining the D. E. Shaw group in 2005, Ms. Hall was a managing director at Lighthouse Partners, L.L.C., a fund of funds management firm she co-founded in 1999. Before that, she was a senior vice president at Delaware Investments from March 1996 to November 1998. From March 1995 to March 1996, Ms. Hall was the director of product development at Zurich Investments, a quantitative fixed income insurance investment manager located in Bermuda. From 1990 to 1994, Ms. Hall was an investment management consultant and prior to that worked in institutional international investment management at both J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Julius Baer Asset Management. Ms. Hall is a co-founder of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, an organization created to advance the interests of hedge fund investors and practitioners. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Constitution Center, a member of the Financial Analysts Seminar Board of Regents for the CFA Institute, and a recipient of the National Council on Research's Women Who Make a Difference Award. Ms. Hall graduated from Smith College in 1984 with a degree in government.

Carol Kim, Co-Founder

Carol Kim is a Vice President in the Funds of Hedge Funds Group at The Blackstone Group based in Hong Kong. Ms. Kim is responsible for client service and new business development in Asia. Prior to joining Blackstone, Carol was Head of Investor Relations in the Absolute Return Strategies Group at Lehman Brothers. Prior to joining Lehman, Carol was Director of Marketing and a Member of Continuity Capital, LLC, a long/short Asian equities hedge fund with a focus on technology stocks. Previous to that, Carol worked in the Marketing Department of P. Schoenfeld Asset Management, an event driven hedge fund with offices in New York and London.

Carol's knowledge of Asia and technology companies stems from her experience as Manager of Investor and Media Relations at Zi Corporation, a NASDAQ listed software company, and LG Electronics, a leading conglomerate in Korea. While Carol was at LG Electronics, she helped pioneer the first Investor Relations team of a publicly listed company in Korea.

Carol has a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Economic Studies from the University of Toronto. She is a registered representative of the NASD with the Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. Carol is fluent in English and proficient in Korean and French.

Lauren Malafronte

Lauren Malafronte is a Director in Prime Services at Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC. She is responsible for the Relationship Management team for Equity Prime Brokerage. Prior to joining Barclays Capital in 1998, she was a sales/trader in the Equity Finance groups at ING Barings and Lehman Brothers. She originally began her career as a systems developer for various capital markets group which led to the securities financing business. Lauren is a member of Barclays Women's Internal Network (WIN) where she sits on the Operating Committee. For the last five years, Lauren has been an active member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds focusing her attention on the annual gala and its fundraising activities. She holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems and an MBA in Finance from Baruch College (CUNY). She is a registered representative of the NASD with Series 7, 24, 55 and 63 licenses. Lauren lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Michael and daughters, Anna and Jane.

Anne Popkin, President, Chairman of the Board

Ms. Popkin was previously a Principal of BlueCrest, Head of the New York Office and North American Business Development and member of the Global Operating Committee. She joined the firm in the fall of 2007 after having served as a Managing Director and the Head of Americas Business Development and Investor Relations for Lehman Brothers Absolute Return Strategies. She was member of the management team of the global Absolute Return Strategies business. Before joining ARS, Ms. Popkin served as the Director of North American Business Marketing and Investor Relations at Financial Risk Management, where she initially worked doing hedge fund due diligence, specifically in fixed income arbitrage. Ms. Popkin began her career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where she worked for nine years in both Fixed Income Sales and Trading and the Investment Management Division. In Fixed Income, she worked in the Global Interest Rate Product Group working with institutional investors (including hedge funds) structuring and advising on trades to capitalize on clients' views on global interest and credit markets. Ms. Popkin earned a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics at Harvard University before receiving an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a diploma in Art History at Oxford University, where she studied as Rotary Scholar. She is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Mindy M. Posoff, Vice President

Mindy M. Posoff was one of the three co-founders of NewMarket Capital Partners, LLC, an investment management company focusing on absolute return strategies for the institutional investor. She was the firm's Chief Operating and Compliance Officer as well as Co Head of Sales and Marketing.

Ms. Posoff is a senior financial services professional with expertise in strategic development and institutional sales and marketing. She has over 20 years experience with top-tier global financial services organizations.

Previously, Ms. Posoff was a Vice President at E*Trade, where she was a key leader in business development and was instrumental in expanding the firm's strategic asset gathering initiatives as well as developing alternative distribution channels for the online broker. She served on the boards of directors for E*Trade Asset Management, E*Trade Advisory Services, and E*Advisor.com.

Prior to E*Trade, she was a Director at CSFB and an institutional sales manager of the structured product sales group. She was responsible for developing and strengthening client relationships.

Ms. Posoff has an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Beloit College. She is a member of the Board of Directors and VP on the Executive Committee of 100 Women in Hedge Funds. She is a Member-Director of the Samuel S. Fels Fund, and serves on the finance committee of the Stockton Rush Bartol Foundation. In 2007, Ms. Posoff was appointed by Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell to the Board of Trustees of Salus University, formerly the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Ms. Posoff was the 2005 recipient of the "Wall Street Meets Main Street" Pioneer Award from Count Me In, a leading national not for profit provider of micro financing resources to women entrepreneurs.

Amanda Pullinger, Executive Director

Amanda Pullinger has been Executive Director of 100 Women in Hedge Funds since November, 2006.

Previously she was a partner at Aquamarine Capital Management, LLC for six years, managing the operations of two private investment vehicles.

Amanda has worked in a number of diverse industries, conducting business and strategic marketing analysis. She initially worked in the UK for Exel plc's environmental division, conducting acquisition analysis in the UK and Europe, and was subsequently transferred to the US to conduct similar analysis for a US subsidiary company. Just prior to joining Aquamarine Capital Management, LLC she was responsible for strategic marketing development within Unisys Corporation's enterprise server business, and at LivePerson, Inc., an Internet software company.

Amanda is on the Board of Directors of the NYU Cancer Institute and the Oxford Alumni Association of New York.

Amanda graduated from Oxford University, England in 1987 with an Honours Degree in Modern History. She earned an MBA from La Salle University, Philadelphia, in 1998, and received the Academic Award for MBA student of the year as well as the Beta Gamma Sigma designation. In 2006, she completed courses at NYU in Certified Financial Planning.

Eve Teich, Director

Eve R. Teich is the Director of Marketing and Investor Relations of Silver Point Capital. Eve joined Silver Point Capital in August of 2003 from Morgan Stanley where she was an Executive Director on the Capital Introductions team in Morgan Stanley Prime Brokerage. Eve joined Morgan Stanley Prime Brokerage in August 1994 as an account representative and moved to marketing and client communications in January 1996. In January 1999, Eve joined the Capital Introduction team where she spent the past four years developing relationships with the institutional hedge fund investor community. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Eve worked for a year at the Investment Management Institute developing a Latin American investment forum, and spent three years in London with City Forum Ltd. developing international business conferences. Eve graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis, with a BSBA in Finance and Marketing.

Sandra A. Urie

Sandra A. Urie is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Associates LLC, a leading global provider of independent investment advice and research to institutional investors and private clients.

Ms. Urie has held various positions at Cambridge Associates since 1985 and, before assuming the role as CEO, she served as the Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for directing the firm's consulting practice. She is a member and vice-chair of the Investors' Committee of the President's Working Group on Financial Markets, which has worked to develop detailed guidelines that would define "best practices" for investors in private pools of capital in order to enhance investor protection and systemic risk safeguards. She currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Yale School of Management, the Board of Overseers of the DeCordova Museum, and the Board of Visitors of the New England Baptist Hospital. In addition, she sits on the boards of The Plymouth Rock Company and Homesite Group Incorporated. She formerly served on the boards of Phillips Academy, Belmont Day School and Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School.

Before joining Cambridge Associates, Ms. Urie worked as a member of the faculty at Phillips Academy (Andover), where she taught Russian and served on the Admissions Office staff. She also served in the Phillips Academy development office where she was responsible for capital fund raising, and eventually she assumed the position of Associate Secretary of the Academy with responsibility for the school's annual giving and alumni programs.

Joan Werner, Treasurer

Joan Werner is Director of Marketing and Client Services for Ramius LLC which is an independent alternative investments firm. Prior to joining Ramius, she was Director of Marketing for CSFB Volaris Advisors (formerly Volaris Advisors) which was an independent investment advisory firm specializing in volatility management.

Joan was also Director of Alternative Investments Marketing (Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Managed Futures & Exchange Funds) at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers responsible for marketing communications, research, new product development and educational programs for the Financial Advisors. She has previously held positions at Bear Stearns Asset Management and at Prudential Financial in the investment management, private placement and insurance areas.

Joan has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves on the Philanthropy Committee and is a Founding Board Member for the Professional Association For Investment Communications Resources (PAICR). She has also been an Adjunct Professor in Marketing at The College of New Jersey.
