Late Summer Charity Garden Party

On September 4, 2008 100 Women in Hedge Funds hosted a late summer Charity Garden Party in Geneva. Despite the torrential rain, which meant the event took place inside the restaurant, over 200 guests from the hedge fund industry (both men and women) enjoyed a fun-packed evening of socialising and fundraising. A gourmet cocktail buffet, showcasing the new science of "cuisine moleculaire" was served and there was a harpist, magician and jazz band for entertainment.
More than 75,000 CHF was raised for Wellbeing of Women, the 2008 beneficiary of all 100 Women in Hedge Funds' European philanthropic efforts. Representatives of the charity spoke about how the funds raised would be used.
The evening concluded with a live auction (including a signed drumskin from Phil Collins, and a tennis lesson with French tennis star, Guy Forget, amongst other items) and the drawing of the raffle prizes.
