100 Women in Hedge Funds second annual Hong Kong Gala raised HK2.3 Million in gross proceeds for the benefit of the Hong Kong Cancer Fund. The proceeds will go towards the pre-screening of 5,000 women of low income groups for female specific cancers, over the next three years.
Katharina Reimer, 100WHF Hong Kong Gala and Philanthropy Chair began the night by outlining how philanthropy comes from the heart. The Guest of Honor, Mrs. Regina Leung re-enforced this notion by saying: "Successful women in the alternatives industry strive to outperform in both their social and professional lives, as demonstrated tonight."
Carol Kim, Co-founder of 100WHF, presented the Asia Industry Leadership Award, a symbol of leadership in the alternatives industry, to Effie Vasilopoulos.
