About Wellbeing of Women:
Wellbeing of Women
was founded in 1964 as the National Childbirth Research Centre to focus on all areas of women's health related to gynaecological issues and reproduction. Its mission is to improve the health of women wherever they live and to work in partnership with all those who share and can help deliver this objective. The money raised by Wellbeing of Women is invested in medical research, development and training of specialist doctors, many of whom go on to work in other countries, and the provision of top quality information about obstetrics and gynaecology to women (and men). Wellbeing of Women is affiliated with the White Ribbon Alliance, an international coalition devoted to safe pregnancy and childbirth in developing, as well as developed, countries.
