London Gala 2010
Our fourth annual 100 Women in Hedge Funds London Gala will be held on
Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Middle Temple Hall to benefit Centrepoint and presenting the European Industry Leadership Award to Geraldine Sundstrom, Partner and Portfolio Manager, Brevan Howard Asset Management. For more details click here.
From January 2010, Prince William became Patron of '100 Women in Hedge Funds' Philanthropic Initiatives for a three-year
partnership. 100 Women in Hedge Funds will focus its UK philanthropic endeavours consecutively, for one year each, on three
of Prince William's Patronages: Centrepoint in 2010; the Child Bereavement Charity in 2011; and Skill Force in 2012.
In 2010, we are focusing our philanthropic efforts on mentoring. With your support and contributions,
100 Women in Hedge Funds London will raise funds this year on behalf of Centrepoint. Centrepoint has been housing and supporting
homeless young people between the ages of 16 and 25 since 1969 and have helped over 70,000 young people to escape homelessness
and build new lives. Each night they provide a home for over 800 young people and over the course of a year over 1,500 young people
will be helped and supported by their work. Specifically, funds raised in 2010 will be used to fund a new mentoring
programme aimed at enhancing the efforts already made by Centrepoint to impact the lives of young people by developing
their employability skills, building their sense of self worth and self esteem, and setting goals for the future.
With your help, Centrepoint will be able to establish and embed this mentoring and befriending programme within their
overall offering for young people, with funding for its first three years.

About Centrepoint:
Centrepoint is the national charity working to improve the lives of socially excluded, homeless young people.
It provides a range of accommodation based services, including emergency night shelters and short stay hostels,
specialist projects for care leavers, ex-offenders, young single parents, foyers and supported flats and floating support
services in London and the North East. From these accommodation services, Centrepoint helps young people to turn their
lives around by helping them gain essential lifeskills; tackle their physical and mental health issues and move into education
and employment. Centrepoint supports over 800 16 - 25 year olds each night of the year.
Since the charity was founded in 1969, it has helped over 70,000 homeless young people. Centrepoint's Patron is
HRH Prince William of Wales (since 2005); who took over the role from his mother, the late Diana, Princess of Wales
(patron from 1992). Centrepoint is registered charity number 292411.
