JANE MENDILLO, CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER, WELLESLEY COLLEGE,
SELECTED TO RECEIVE THE 100 WOMEN IN HEDGE FUNDS INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP AWARD

New York, NY - May 21, 2007 - 100 Women in Hedge Funds' Board of Directors has named Jane Mendillo, Chief Investment Officer, Wellesley College, to receive its 2007 Industry Leadership Award.

The Industry Leadership Award recognizes an individual whose professional talent, ethics and passion help define and advance the hedge fund industry's standard of excellence. Past recipients include Anne Dinning, D. E. Shaw & Co., L. P., Ellen Schubert, UBS Investment Bank, Brenda Earl de Paula, formerly Zweig DiMenna; Elaine Crocker, Moore Capital, and Sandra Manzke, founder of Tremont Partners.

Jack Meyer, Managing Partner and CEO, Convexity Capital noted "Jane combines two sets of characteristics that generally do not meet in one person: on the one hand, she is friendly, smart, funny and gracious -- the perfect dinner companion. On the other, she has a fierce intellect, a steely resolve, and incredibly high standards for herself and those around her. The combination works. She has been quick to master and excel in every job she has held. For Jane, there are no limits." Ms. Mendillo has overseen the management of the $1.5 billion endowment of Wellesley College since 2002.

"The Board is thrilled to honor Mendillo, a veritable pioneer in hedge fund investing, having been active in this space since the late 80’s," said 100 Women in Hedge Fund’s Board Member Mimi Drake. Prior to becoming Wellesley’s CIO, Ms. Mendillo had made alternatives investments at Harvard Management Company, where she was a portfolio manager responsible for approximately $7 billion in assets. She joined Harvard Management Company in 1987 and during her 14-year tenure there managed equities, private equity, real estate and hedge fund investments. Ms. Mendillo worked at Bain & Company from 1984-1987 and at the Office of Investments at Yale University from 1980-82. She received her BA from Yale University and her MBA from Yale's School of Management. She is currently a member of the Yale Investment Committee, a member of the Partners Healthcare Investment Committee, and the Chair of the Board at TIFF (The Investment Fund for Foundations).

Ms. Mendillo will accept the award at the sixth annual 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala in New York City on Wednesday, November 14, 2007. This year’s theme for philanthropic activities is mentoring and all of the proceeds from the event will be given to iMentor.
